Design concept of the Turris Omnia router was created in cooperation with Jablotron for the administrator of the CZ domain, the company cz.nic. The design was prepared for a campaign on the Indiegogo server, which ended in extraordinary success – $857,000 was raised for development. In the design, emphasis was placed on simplicity and purity of form, which visually underlines the hi-tech parameters of this device.
For the final production, the client decided to change the overall concept and chose a basic sheet metal case, due to lower investment costs compared to plastic injection molds and the need for more powerful hardware cooling.
